The 5 Best Times in 2025 to Go to…

Though we are just half way through 2024, many are looking to get their 2025 trips on the books. I’ve received a lot of interest in Disney World, Disneyland and Universal Orlando for 2025 trips already, but we can’t book all of these just yet.

Currently, guests can book:

  • Disney World through October 31, 2025,

  • Disneyland through December 31, 2024, and

  • Universal Orlando through April 30,2025.

This means that we are still waiting on availability and pricing beyond the dates above, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start thinking about when the best times to visit these theme parks are in 2025.

I’ve dug into expected crowd calendars, historical weather trends, and the holiday schedule for the parks to come up with the best 5 times in 2025 to visit all 3 of these locations.

Disney World

These are the best times to visit Disney World in 2025 sorted by the earliest to the latest:

  • January 21 - 31: The temperatures are some of the coolest you’ll find in Orlando, you’ll find some of the lowest crowds of the year, and some of the best prices of the year for the resorts and tickets.

  • February 21 - 28: The weather should be very comfortable and have moderate crowds.

  • April 26 - May 22: Though it will be warm, the humidity should be pretty low. The crowds will drop after the peak of spring break season as will pricing before they rise again when summer starts.

  • August 14 -28: Schools in southern states will be back in session in early to mid-August which will cause crowds to decrease as well as pricing. It will be very hot though.

  • September 1 - 30: It will continue to be very hot, but you’ll have the lowest crowds of the year as well as some of the lowest pricing.

Disneyland

Disneyland is a locals park - more so than Disney World or Universal Orlando. This affects the best times to visit differently than the other parks. These are the best times to visit Disneyland in 2025 sorted from earliest to latest:

  • Weekdays January 13 - 31 (except January 20): You’ll find lower crowds if you avoid the weekends. The park will be cool, but the pricing for the resorts and tickets will be some of the lowest of the year.

  • Weekdays February 3 - 13 & 24 - 28: Similar to the January days, the weather is cool which works well for touring the parks. Except the week of Presidents’ Day, February is a great time for low crowds during the week.

  • May 1 - 12: The weather will be warmer which will be nice for the days and nights at the parks, and you can expect moderate crowds. Pricing will be better than March through April as well.

  • August 13 - September 27: It will be hot, but the crowds will be very low (especially on weekdays). You’ll enjoy some of the best pricing of the year as well.

  • October 21 - 30: The temperature in the parks will be moderate as will be the crowds. Many think Halloween will cause high wait times, but that hasn’t been the historical trend.

Universal Orlando

These are the best times to visit Universal Orlando sorted from earliest to latest:

  • January 6 - 16: You’ll have cool weather in the parks, low crowds after the holiday rush has ended, and lower pricing.

  • February 2 - 13: Weather will continue to be great to visit the parks and going before the Presidents’ Day holiday has lower crowds and pricing than after the holiday.

  • April 28 - May 14: Crowds are pretty low after the peak of spring break season and before school gets out in June. The weather in Orlando is warm, but the humidity hasn’t really set in yet.

  • September 1 - 30: The month of September has great pricing and low crowds, but it will be hot. Going to the parks the same days as Halloween Horror Nights will have very low wait times during the day - so much so, that it will make up for the park closing early for the after hours event.

  • November 11 - 22: Jersey week raises the crowds significantly at Disney World but doesn’t have the same effect at Universal. Crowds will be low to moderate and temperatures will get very comfortable.
