Say Farewell to Happily Ever After, and Hello to Enchantment

The 50th anniversary celebration of Walt Disney World is just over a month away, and we are getting more details about the new nighttime spectacular in Magic Kingdom.

“Disney Enchantment” will inspire everyone to believe in magic. The firework show will be paired with beloved Disney music, lighting, and projections that will stretch down Main Street, U.S.A. for the first time ever.

The introduction of this new evening show, though exciting, is unfortunately marking the end to a Disney guest favorite - Happily Ever After.

During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent closure of the Disney parks, my family relived the magic of Happily Ever After daily on YouTube which was provided by the Disney Parks account. It was the first fireworks show that my daughter was willing to stay for. We had a devastating experience waiting for nearly two hours with the perfect spot for Illuminations at Epcot the year before only for her to scream that it was too loud and scary.

Happily Ever After will always hold a sweet place in my heart, but I am excited to see what the new “Disney Enchantment” has to offer.
