Romantic Experiences at Your Favorite Park

Frequent visitors to the Disney and Universal parks know that the parks are not all about the kids. Couples can enjoy romantic experiences at the parks as well. So, in honor of Valentine’s Day, here are my top picks for romantic experiences at the parks.

Disney World

  1. Fireworks Cruise - You can charter a boat for up to 10 people to watch the nighttime fireworks shows. Prices start at $449 plus tax. You can book a cruise to watch Happily Ever After in the Seven Seas Lagoon or Luminous in the World Showcase Lagoon. Reservations can be made 60 days in advance and are very limited. You can only call to make these reservations. When you book with me, I will handle this for you so that you don’t have to be hassled with it.

  2. Capture Your Moment - You can book a 20 minute photo session at any of the 4 parks with your own dedicated Disney photographer. Each 20 minute session costs $99 plus tax. You can book this for any special occasion or something specific. It’s the perfect way to commemorate your magical trip. Reservations can be made online 60 days in advance just like dining reservations.

  3. Fine Dining - Guests unfamiliar with Disney World may not realize that there are many signature dining locations to enjoy. From viewing the fireworks from the top of the Contemporary at California Grill to Toledo at Coronado Springs to Flying Fish at the Boardwalk, Disney has many romantic options to choose from. For a real jaw dropping experience, book dinner at Victoria & Albert’s at the Grand Floridian.

Disneyland

  1. Sweethearts’ Nites - Disneyland has separately ticketed events throughout the year. The most romantic would be Sweethearts’ Nites. With special overlays, shows, and meet and greets, these special events are perfect for a romantic evening in the parks.

  2. Cuddle Up on Dark Rides - Disneyland, especially Fantasyland, has loads of dark rides. These attractions are the perfect opportunity to cozy and cuddle up to your sweetheart while you enjoy the ride. There are more dark rides at Disneyland than Disney World, so have fun!

  3. Sip Wine at Wine Country Trattoria - In California Adventure, there is a lovely wine bar with couches right outside that you can enjoy. After dark, order your favorite wine and sip while nestled together on the outdoor couches. The ambiance of Pixar Pier is beautiful, and you can soak up the park after dark.

Universal Orlando

  1. Stay at Portofino Bay - Start your romantic trip off right by staying at Portofino Bay. This resort transports you to an Italian coastal town, with canals, statues, and gardens that really make you feel like you’re there. Dine or have drinks at Mama Della’s where you’ll be enchanted by singers and musicians playing romantic ballads.

  2. Harry Potter Spells - For Harry Potter fans, head to Ollivanders in Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade to get your own wizarding world wands. You can then roam the Wizarding Worlds of Harry Potter to cast real spells! Have fun with each other finding all of the spell locations, and be sure to head to Knockturn Alley where you can always sneak a kiss in the dark pathway.

  3. Romantic Dining - I’d recommend dinner at sunset at Mythos in Islands of Adventure. This restaurant set into a carved cliffside is the epitome of romantic. You can also finish the night by sharing an over the top milkshake concoction from Toothsome Chocolate Emporium.

Whether you’re visiting for Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, or just want to have a special experience with your loved one, the Disney and Universal parks have options for you.
