Halloween Announcements for Disney World, Disneyland, & Disney Cruise Line

Halfway to Halloween started a little late, but better late than never!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Returns

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off on August 9 and concludes on October 31. Tickets go on sale on May 8 for guests with Disney World hotel reservations on May 8. For all other guests, they will go on sale on May 15. These special ticketed events do sell out. If you are hoping to attend a party, be sure to put your quote request in ASAP so that we can get your tickets during the presale. For clients who already have booked reservations, I will reach out to you individually to check in about your party preferences.

Dates

The dates for this special event in 2024 are:

  • August 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, 30

  • September 2, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29

  • October 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 29, 31

New Costumes

If you’re a fan of this event or a fan of unique characters, you’ll love that Mickey and Minnie are getting new costumes this year!

Villains Galore

You’ll be able to spot some of your favorite Disney villains throughout Magic Kingdom wandering or popping up. You may even be able to get a selfie with some rarely spotted ones too!

Dance Parties Return

Guests can once again bust a move in Tomorrowland for a dance party only available during the party. This year it will be inspired by the new Disney Original Movie Descendants: The Rise of Red premiering on Disney+ on July 12. DescenDANCE Party will be taking place at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland.

We WILL be talking about Bruno!

For the first time during the party, guests can meet the most not talked about character - Bruno from Encanto. He’ll be alongside Mirabel at their Casita in Fairytale Garden.

Earlier Parade

One complaint about the Halloween party was that the parades were too late for the youngest guest (or guests who like to be in bed early). This year, the first of the two showings of the Boo-To-You Parade (one of the best parades in my opinion) will take place a full hour earlier at 8:15pm. This way, the younger guests can head back to the resort before getting too cranky.

Returning Favorites

That’s all for the new features of the event, but returning favorites include:

  • Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show, hosted by Jack Skellington

  • The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular stage show

  • Trick-or-treating throughout the park

  • Popular attractions with special Halloween twists include Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Space Mountain, and Mad Tea Party

  • Exclusive merchandise

  • Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party, which includes fireworks viewing from Plaza Garden or Tomorrowland Terrace. Reservations for this experience open on June 7 but will depend on which party you attend.
